18th AGT finalist – who is Lavender Darcangelo?
Lavender Darcangelo is one of the AGT season 18 contestants, and her incredible performance got everyone’s attention.
She sang ‘Out Here On My Own‘ by Irena Cara, to which Heidi Klum gave a golden buzzer sending her straight to the live shows.
And now, she is in the ‘AGT’ 2023 finale.
We know about her singing, and about her ADS, but what about other hidden information?
Let’s find out!
Lavender is a blind and autistic singer from Massachusetts, United States.
She was born in 1996 and is currently 27 years old.
She is also a disability advocate.
ASD is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain, and people with ASD have problems with social interaction.
Darcangelo is autistic.
Opening up with GMA in 2019, she said,
“I felt like I was lonely in my life because I have multiple disabilities in my life being blind and autistic.”
She continued,
“Sometimes having more than one disability can make you feel like you have a foot in all these different worlds, but you don’t feel like you have a home in them completely.”
The sensational singer went viral back in 2019, for her performance, ‘Part of Your World‘ during an LGBTQ cabaret.
Rufus Gifford took it to his Twitter and posted the video, which gained a good amount of engagement.
