Has Sonia Kruger had plastic surgery?
Sonia Kruger is one of Australia’s most popular television stars known and praised for her age-defying complexion.
But has she had the help of plastic surgery for her youthful visage? Check out Kruger’s beauty transformation over the years.
Sonia Kruger, born on August 28, 1965, has been a prominent figure in the media for over two decades.
She first came to prominence in 1992 when she made her acting debut as “Tina Sparkle” in the AFI Award-Winning film Strictly Ballroom.
Kruger is currently the presenter of The Voice Australia and host of Big Brother Australia.
She is best known for co-hosting the popular Australian version of Dancing with the Stars.
There’s no denying that Kruger looks amazing for her age – at 58. You’d be forgiven for thinking she has only just hit her 40s – perhaps it’s all in her genes.
Her dedication to being kind to her body, combined with hard work, absolutely plays a part. However, some believe she has had the help of plastic surgery to maintain her youthful appearance.
The mother-of-one has dominated the airways for decades.
She triumphantly returned to Channel 7, hosting a series of programs including The Voice, Big Brother, and The Voice Generations.
Sonia Kruger continues to rise, and viewers have been quick to note how young she looks for her age of 58.
Kruger admits to having dabbled with Botox, undergoing cosmetic dental work, and keeping her skin fresh with microdermabrasion treatments. She says there’s nothing wrong with improving nature.
Kruger explained to the Daily Telegraph:
“Women are quite up-front about wanting to look younger. It’s one of those things, I think, you have to try. Well, you don’t have to, but if you want to and it makes you feel better about how you look or feel, then fine.”
The presenter told 9Honey:
“The way I see it is this, if you want to undergo cosmetic enhancements to feel more youthful and confident, I say go for it. If you wish to undergo surgery, make sure you think it through, do your research and make sure you see a qualified doctor.”
Kruger revealed she had her first Botox injection as early as 1997 when she began working as an entertainment reporter on Channel 7’s 11 AM. She said:
“They asked me if I wanted to give it a shot . . . and I said what the hell.”

In 2014, Kruger lashed out at New Idea, accusing them of making up a cover story that bore the question “What happened to her face?”
The magazine published photos of the presenter on vacation in Hawaii, implying that her “surprisingly inflamed red face gave the impression that she may have dabbled” in cosmetic surgery. The article said:
“No one could blame the popular star for craving a little holiday freshen-up before she starts work on the new season of Big Brother.”
They added that Kruger had a little cosmetic intervention and didn’t look like her usual self.

The outlet also quoted a cosmetic surgeon who suggested she had possibly had laser resurfacing, a chemical peel, or strong IPL (intense pulse light) treatment.
It enraged her when she saw the headline on the cover of the magazine beside her make-up-free face and uploaded a picture of it on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.
She wrote “50k for this pic,” alleging that the magazine had paid big bucks for the photo. She added:
“What happened to my face? I went out in the sun. Story made up. Great use of Seven shareholder’s money … said no one ever. #whynotcallandcheck?”
The photos were taken while Kruger, then 49, was on holiday with her longtime partner, Craig McPherson — and it must be said, she looked incredible.
