Drax the Destroyer from Guardians of the Galaxy, Dave Bautista’s face looks different. People noticed some changes in his face right after his Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery movie dropped.
The name Bautista is known to all, as his finishing move, Bautista Bomb (Demon Bomb) is something that TKOs his opponent. He is a wrestler who started wrestling in 1999 and retired in 2019.
Wrestling career aside, Bautista is very much active in his acting career, having three movies on the line: Knock at the Cabin, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Dune: Part Two.
After the recent release of his movie, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, people started noticing some differences in his face. So, what’s this fuss all about? Let’s dive right into the topic!
Bautista has played several roles in his recent movies where he had to put on some heavy makeup. Guardian of the Galaxy movie, for instance, he had to put up an extra layer of prosthetics over his face and body, which made it hard to realize for someone who didn’t go through the cast list.
But this time, after his recent movie release, people started pointing out the wrinkles lining his scalp. Some defined it as a cool change while others indicated it as plastic surgery.
As an actor, it is essential to meet fans’ and viewers’ expectations through the movie he played. Such physical changes though do not require one to go through the knife. The reports around the web mention that he might have done botox but evidence-less bluffs.
Bautista’s facial structure has no changes, so it might be natural to have wrinkles on his face.

Dave has been actively acting since 2002, and it has been more than two decades now. People have been seeing him on TV, in series, and in movies for a long long time now, so it is natural to notice some changes in his face. It is a natural phenomenon – aging.

Bautista clearly said his age might cause an issue later on in continuing the movie.
Still, as an actor, people assume him going through plastic surgery procedures such as botox, face lifting, and face structuring.
Bautista never used makeup on his face and body while playing his roles in the movies, but Marvel Universe. He got an offer as Drax in Guardian of the Galaxy, where he had to put on prosthetics on his face and all over his body.
While prosthetics are made of latex pieces and molds that are safe for the skin, they might cause problems in the future.
Make-up expert Clint Fernandes explained further:
‘If they are using super glue to attach it. The results can be disastrous. If not placed properly, latex can cause a wrinkly effect. Also, this works if you have taut, not sagging skin.’
It’s just a maybe, but Bautista might have a side effect from such movie makeup.
