2022 sees the couple celebrate their silver wedding anniversary.
‘25 years of marriage, 31 years of love,’ says Snoop Dogg.
As the couple reached their milestone, we take a look back at their love life over the years.
Shante Broadus and the rapper first crossed paths in their teens as both attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
The pair were each other’s prom dates, with Snoop having previously shared a picture of them on Instagram. On their 19th anniversary in 2016, the rapper shared a snap of them both at prom.
Talking with Cheat Sheet last year, Shante explained that she and her husband first met through a mutual friend at a high school football game.
At that time, Shante declined to give him her digits, but after running to each other again and again, she gave in after Snoop insisted.
Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante Broadus tied the knot on June 12, 1997. 25 years passed, and the couple is still unshakable despite a brief split in 2004.
According to E! News, the reason was ‘irreconcilable difference,’ but he didn’t go through with it in the end.
Snoop withdrew from proceedings, and renewed their vows four years later, in 2008. Ahead of the couple’s wedding anniversary, 2022, both celebrated three decades of love anniversary.
