‘Bling Empire’ star Anna Shay dies at 62 – what was the death cause?

Anna Shay dies at 62, star of Netflix’s ‘Bling Empire’ is no more.
Her family confirmed her death with USA Today on June 5, 2023.
Shay’s family revealed that she passed away due to complications from a stroke.
The statement says,
“It saddens our hearts to announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star, and our brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away at the early age of 62 from a stroke.”
They added,
“Anna taught us many life lessons on how not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the finer things. Her impact on our lives will be forever missed but never forgotten.”
Shay lived a private life
The Netflix series Bling Empire follows a group of wildly wealthy Asian-American socialites in LA, who introduce their luxurious lifestyle.
The series started streaming in 2021 and has run for three seasons.

Prior to that, Shay held a private life.
According to Tatler, Shay and her brother sold ‘Pacific Architects and Engineers,’ the company founded by her father in 2006 for $1.2 billion.
Anna married four times in her life but also kept her ex-husband’s identity.
However, Variety revealed that she had one son named Kenny Kemp.

Co-stars tribute to Anna Shay
Kevin Kreider, Bling Empire co-star took it to Instagram and shared a tribute to her.

He wrote,
“You never know when your last goodbye will be. So unexpected and wished when I saw you last for lunch I would have taken a moment to smell the roses and had one last adventure with you.”
Talking with Variety, Kim Lee, co-star, said that Shay’s death was a ‘huge shock.’
“I have so much love for Anna. I know that we had issues on the show but in real life, I had such a great connection with her outside of the show.”
She continued,
“We saw eye to eye, and she gave me so many words of wisdom I will never forget. There’s no one like Anna Shay; she’s an incredible and unique person who was beloved by so many people. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
Kelly Mi Li, an executive producer of Bling Empire, posted a carousel of photos on her Instagram and wrote:
“RIP @annashay93 💔💔💔 you are truly one of a kind and we will miss you forever.”
