Who is Katherine ‘Kady’ Allen?

Katherine ‘Kady’ Allen is a celebrity child best known as the daughter of renowned American actor and comedian Tim Allen.

Tim Allen has had quite a career; you may know him from iconic TV sitcoms like Home Improvement or Last Man Standing or films like The Santa Clause and Toy Story.

However, his children are far more important to him than his Hollywood achievements.

34-year-old Katherine was born in 1989, five years after her parents, Tim Allen and Laura Deibel, tied the knot.

She has a younger half-sister, Elizabeth Allen Dick, 12, from her father’s second marriage to Jane Hajduk.

When it comes to her personal life, Kady is very private.

Having been seen on red carpet events with her parents, she accompanied her family at the Toy Story 4 premiere in Los Angeles in 2019.

‘Kady’ is reportedly very close with her stepmother, Jane, whom her father married three years after his first wife died.

Katherine’s parents are divorced

Tim Allen and his first wife, Laura Diebel, had been together since they were both students at Western Michigan University.

Even after his drug arrest, she waited for him to be released before marrying him.

He lowered his sentence by confessing the identities of his dealers, which pleased the movie industry.

Katherine was born five years after they married in 1984.

At the time, Tim’s acting career had started to took-off.

He was gone for the majority of the time, which put a strain on his marriage with Laura.

Laura served as the sole parent of their child and the sole keeper of their home.

Katherine Allen has a half-sister from her father’s second marriage

Katherine is the only child of her parents. However, she has a half-sister named Elizabeth Allen Dick from her father’s second marriage to Jane Hajduk.

Tim married for the second time Jane on October 7, 2006, in Grand Lake, Colorado.

Three years after the marriage, Tim and Jane welcomed a baby girl, Elizabeth Allen Dick, in March 2009. Elizabeth is 20 years younger than Katherine.

Katherine reportedly shares a close bond with her stepmother.

In 2019, she attended the premiere of Toy Story 4 with her stepmother, father, and half-sister, Elizabeth. They were all smiling and posing with Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Bo Peep, and Jessie from Toy Story 4.

Tim couldn’t fulfill his father’s duties to Katherine

Tim was unable to perform his fatherly duties when Katherine Allen was born for the first time. But when his second daughter was born, he made sure he was there for her.

When Tim spoke with Parade about his second fatherhood experience, he was full of regrets.

He admitted that he was gone so often in his first marriage that he wouldn’t do it again. He said:

‘I was gone so much in my first marriage. I love the moments when I engage with my youngest daughter now. It’s not my thing to sit on the ground and play tea party, but I’ll do it because it’s a moment that will stick with me forever.’

Tim is no longer the same man he was when he first married.

He’s been sober for a while and has learned to communicate with his family.

Katherine’s father has begun to devote more time to his family. He joked with Closer that his girls didn’t think he was hilarious.
