Reality TV starlet Nicole Richie says her 2005 novel “The Truth About Diamonds” is going to be made into a television series.

The 26-year-old, adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie is best known for co-starring with her fellow socialite, Paris Hilton, in the series “The Simple Life.”

“I would definitely produce and definitely be in the show,” Nicole Richie told E! News about the upcoming small-screen adaptation of her book. “I don’t know if I need to be the star of this show. I’ve got a lot going on right now.”

Richie and her boyfriend, musician Joel Madden, are the parents of a 7-month-old daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden.

Richie told E! News she is also working on her second book.

“I’m not telling you,” Richie said when asked about the plot. “It’s not finished.”

U.S. reality television personality and new mom Nicole Richie is set to guest-star on the comedy series “Chuck” this fall, NBC said Wednesday.

Richie is best known for her work on the reality show “The Simple Life,” in which she co-starred with Paris Hilton. Richie recently gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Harlow.

“Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny,” executive producer Josh Schwartz said in a statement. “This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It’s going to be really fun.”

‘Simple Life’ co-star Nicole Richie is reportedly planning to go on the hunt for a new reality star whom she’ll mold in her image.

The former The Simple Life star has been shopping a new reality series that would take seven girls from across the country and test their ability to achieve celebrity status for a shot at having their own reality show, an executive who has heard Richie’s pitch told Entertainment Weekly in a Tuesday report.

The reality series would follow Richie and a panel of judges as they narrowed down the contestants, one of whom would be awarded her own reality show during the finale.
