New York, Tailor Made Still Together; VHI Spokeswoman Says No Plans for ‘I Love New York 3′

Tailor Made apparently still loves New York. Despite an Internet rumor about a breakup, a VH1 spokeswoman told The Associated Press on Wednesday that reality TV couple Tiffany “New York” Pollard and George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber are still together following the conclusion of “I Love New York 2″ — and there are no plans for a third season of the popular VH1 reality dating show.

New York selected the 32-year-old retail planner instead of actor Ezra “Buddha” Masters during the Dec. 17 season finale, which was watched by 5.43 million viewers.

A Jan. 7 report posted on MediaTakeOut.com cited an anonymous source claiming that New York’s “relationship with Tailor Made ended shortly after the reunion show was taped and that she wants another season of ‘I Love New York’ so that she could find the man of her dreams.”

New York, who was originally a contestant on VH1’s “Flavor of Love,” recently guest starred as herself on FX’s “Nip/Tuck” and appears in the upcoming film “First Sunday” starring Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan.

George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber may have still been married to his estranged wife, but that didn’t stop him from proposing to Tiffany “New York” Pollard during I Love New York’s second-season finale last night on VH1.

While New York didn’t accept the proposal, the 25-year-old Utica, NY native and former Flavor of Love fling still presented her final chain to the Queens, NY fashion planner.

“Tailor Made, I completely trust you and I know that you’re here for me and you’ll never run out on me,” explained New York. “But right now, I cannot accept your proposal. But if you love me — and you honor my wishes — in 24 months, I’d love to marry you.”

Tailor Made defeated Ezra “Buddha” Masters, a model and personal trainer from Miami, FL, in their quest to win New York’s heart. Earlier in the season, I Love New York producers disqualified Buddha for physically assaulting Tailor Made during a verbal confrontation the two were engaged in. New York subsequently reinstated Buddha into the competition — apparently against producers’ wishes — because she felt he didn’t leave on her terms.

“It’s been a long journey, but it was all worth it,” said Tailor Made. “In the end, I found the girl of my dreams.”

“Tailor Made did exactly what he needed to do to win my heart,” said New York. “Yeah he spit on somebody. Yeah he got f**king slapped. But so what! He did exactly what it took to win my heart, and that’s why Tailor Made is my king… So there’s one thing that I’m sure of: That Tailor Made loves New York, and New York loves Tailor Made!”

While the two tried to keep their romantic relationship a secret for as long as possible, the Post reported New York and Tailor Made were spotted “canoodling” last weekend in at least two Manhattan nightclubs.

VH1 plans to air an I Love New York second-season reunion show — which filmed two weeks ago — next month, according to the Post.

VH1 has announced I Love New York’s second season will premiere on Monday, October 8 at 9PM ET/PT.

I Love New York’s first season winner Patrick “Tango” Hunter asked for Tiffany “New York” Pollard’s hand in marriage during the finale, but withdrew his proposal to her during I Love New York’s reunion special. Unable to find love in the first season of her own series and having the dubious honor of being spurned by Flava Flav on the first (and only) two season of VH1’s Flavor of Love, Pollard is apparently willing to give love another try in-front of the cameras.

However this time her mother Sister Patterson had a hand in selecting some of the contestants who will attempt to woo her daughter. In addition, five of the 20 contestants who will appear on I Love New York 2 were chosen by fans via a website designed solely for that purpose.

I Love New York’s first-season premiere episode in January averaged 4.4 million total viewers, making it the most watched series premiere ever in VH1 history. The show’s April finale was the most watched episode of the series, averaging 4.8 million total viewers.

VH1 had confirmed to Reality TV World in May that I Love New York would be back for a second season.
