Corina Noelle and Maxx Reed were the first two contestants cut from Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann during last night’s live broadcast on ABC.

“This was an absolutely amazing opportunity and I’m still grateful to this moment that I’m standing on this stage,” Corina told Dance War host Drew Lachey after she was eliminated. “I wish you guys all the best of luck.”

Corina, a 22-year-old from Southington, CT, and Maxx, an 18-year-old from Bartlett, TN, were both eliminated from Dance War after neither was chosen by “Team Captains” Carrie Ann Inaba or Bruno Tonioli, both of whom selected a six-person team that they will mentor for the remainder of the competition.

“I’m definitely disappointed,” said Maxx. “But this whole experience — I mean all of these people, everybody — they’re all incredibly talented. It was an honor to have worked with them. It’s not going to stop me. I’m going to keep on going.”
Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann’s next episode will air live on Monday, January 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, with “Team Bruno” and “Team Carrie Ann” performing themed dancing/singing routines for the first time, with home viewers able to cast their votes for their favorite squad immediately following the broadcast.

The team that receives the lowest number of home viewer votes will be revealed during the January 28 Dance War episode broadcast and will be forced to eliminate one of their members.

ABC has decided to rename Dance X to Dance War , Daily Variety reported Thursday. In addition, ABC has reportedly tabbed Dancing with the Stars’ second-season celebrity champ Drew Lachey to host the series.

ABC has ordered six episodes of Dance War , and instead of airing weekly performance and results shows, the series will broadcast voting results at the beginning of each week’s episode.

The show will most likely air this winter, filling ABC’s broadcast void between Dancing with the Stars Fall 2007 fifth edition and Spring 2008 sixth edition.
