CariDee English apparently could have used a cup of water.

The America’s Next Top Model seventh-season champ was hospitalized and treated for dehydration last weekend, People reported Thursday.

“CariDee did go to the hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning to be treated for dehydration,” her rep told People. “She called to be taken to the hospital.”

English was partying on Saturday night at the grand opening of the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Connecticut, where she was attending an event at Shrine, a restaurant/club, sources told People. She was reportedly taken from Foxwoods to an area hospital via ambulance.

“She is fine and back to work in Los Angeles,” her rep told People.

The Fargo, ND native defeated Melrose Bickerstaff and Eugena Washington during Top Model’s December 2006 seventh-season finale broadcast.

Whitney Thompson is the first curvey girl to win America’s Next Top Model.

The 20-year-old student from Atlantic Beach, FL became the first full-figured model to win Top Model, as she was crowned the reality competition series’ tenth-season champ during last night’s finale broadcast on The CW.

“There’s definitely times I’ve looked in the mirror or at other girls and thought that I wasn’t like them — always being judged and thinking, ‘Am I different? Is there something wrong with me?’” said Whitney after her victory.

“No. I do feel good about myself and I want other women in America to feel good about themselves. I honestly think that girls will look up to me and say, ‘I can do that. I can be that. I don’t have to starve. I don’t have to have plastic surgery. I can really be like that. I can be on the billboard. I can be on that magazine cover. Why? Because I’m beautiful — on the inside out.’ I have breasts, I have hips, I have a butt — and I am so proud of those things. I am here and I am me. I’m not going to change myself.”

For winning Top Model’s tenth season, Whitney claimed the grand prize package of a management deal with Elite Model Management; a $100,000 contract with cosmetics company CoverGirl; and a cover story and six-page fashion spread in an issue of Seventeen magazine.

“It feels amazing to be America’s Next Top Model,” added Whitney. “This is exactly what I want. This is exactly everything that I ever wanted since I was a little girl.”

Dominique Reighard had been improving until her most recent photo shoot made her look like a transvestite.

While she was complimented for being a beautiful transvestite, the 23-year-old receptionist from Columbus, OH still became the tenth girl eliminated from America’s Next Top Model’s tenth season during last night’s broadcast of The CW reality series.

“This has been an amazing opportunity. I’m definitely proud of myself,” said Dominique after her ouster.

“I know that my story isn’t over. My story goes on; I go on. making it this far and learning everything I learned is amazing. There’s so much that’s next for me. I have this amazing willpower to do so much that it’s going to be a surprise what’s next for Dominique. I feel like I’m on top of the world right now even though I didn’t win.”

America’s Next Top Model’s tenth-season finale will air Wednesday, May 14 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.

Katarzyna took nice pictures and had a nice personality — but nice doesn’t cut it on America’s Next Top Model.

The 22-year-old in finance from Roslyn, NY became the ninth girl eliminated from Top Model’s tenth season during last night’s broadcast of The CW reality series.

“Of course it’s disappointing because obviously I wanted to make it to the top,” opined Katarzyna after her ouster.

“I’ve had a hell of a ride. It’s been an amazing experience. I have learned so much… Coming in here I set out to really be the best model that I can, and I think that with the judges especially, they definitely didn’t get to know me. Unfortunately for me that’s what sent me home. But it’s not going to stop me from doing great things in the future.”

Tyra said the judges see a “beautiful girl” with “coveted Eastern European features” when they look at Katarzyna.

“But they feel like Katarzyna is coasting along,” said Tyra. “Really nice pictures, but not fantastic pictures. Really nice personality, but not something that really sticks out.”

Katarzyna was then given the boot.

America’s Next Top Model’s penultimate tenth-season episode will air Wednesday, May 7 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.

The CW is down 27% this year in its target demographic, adults aged 18 to 34.

Its fall shows were well received but have barely treaded water in the Nielsens. Most worrisome: The return of the network’s reliable reality performers “America’s Next Top Model” (down 29%) and “Beauty and the Geek” (off 54%) dropped sharply this spring. The numbers suggest that the CW needs more than just quality shows to jump-start its stalled momentum.

Lauren Utter couldn’t make the complete transformation from punk to model.

The 22-year-old artist from Brooklyn, NY had her awkwardness highlighted on a CoverGirl commercial shoot and became the eighth girl eliminated from America’s Next Top Model’s tenth season during last night’s broadcast of The CW reality series.

“The whole point of me coming to America’s Next Top Model was to challenge myself,” said Lauren after her elimination. “It was scary at first, but then I grew to like it. Now I see two sides of Lauren — punk Lauren and then the dolled-up Lauren. before I never even wanted to model and now my mind’s completely changed. I really think I have a chance to have a future in it.”

“I know I did a crappy job, but it sucks to see yourself do so bad. You’re embarrassed,” opined Lauren after her ouster.

America’s Next Top Model’s next tenth-season episode will air Wednesday, April 30 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.

Stacy-Ann Fequiere became the seventh girl eliminated from Top Model’s tenth season.

stacy-ann-fequiere“I was not expecting to go home,” said Stacy-Ann after her ouster. “I have so much energy and personality, sometimes it came-off as maybe too fake. But just being here and learning from every photo shoot, from all the judges, I know that God has great things for me. I’m just going to keep trying.”

With deliberations over, Tyra revealed Anya, Lauren, Dominique, Katarzyna — a 22-year-old in finance from Roslyn, NY — and Whitney were safe.

“Fatima and Stacy-Ann… The two of you stand before me and I have something in my hands — it could be a photo of you Stacy-Ann or it could be blank photo of you Fatima because you did not participate in the photo shoot,” said Tyra.

“Interesting judging because we had to judge both of your bodies of work. We look at your body of work Stacy-Ann, and we say beautiful girl, beautiful Paulina jaw line, absolutely beautiful eyes. But some of the judges feel like you have plateaued — like your pictures have gotten as good as they’re going to get. And the judges look at Fatima, and they’re disappointed. They’re disappointed that you did not have a visa or a passport. How can you expect to go overseas without that? And you did not participate in the photo shoot this week. But even without that, your body of work is much stronger than Stacy-Ann’s.”

Stacy-Ann departed and Tyra revealed that the remaining six contestants would immediately be boarding a plane for Rome, Italy.

“I am so sad right now that I’m not going overseas. It was something I really wanted to do,” opined Stacy-Ann.

America’s Next Top Model’s next tenth-season episode will air Wednesday, April 23 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.

Amis Jenkins was accused of not taking modeling seriously, causing her to become the third contestant eliminated from America’s Next Top Model.

“Walking away from this competition, I feel no bitterness, only huge amounts of gratitude,” said Amis following her ouster. “This has been the best thing to ever happen to me. I’ve gained so much from the whole experience — good, bad, whatever — I wanted to absorb. I was part of something bigger than myself, and who could ever want anything more in life.”

Tyra said the judges feel like Amis’ “focus is not here” — and when that’s combined with her “laissez faire attitude” at photo shoots and the crazy headband — the judges further questioned if she’s just there for a “fun ride.” Tyra said Fatima went from “the second coming of Iman” to only modeling from the waste down, with her face “just crazy tiger growls.”

She then revealed Fatima was safe and Amis was given the boot.

“If modeling is something you really want to do Amis, then take it seriously,” suggested Tyra.

American Next Top Model’s next tenth-season episode will air Wednesday, March 19 at 8PM ET/PT.

The 19-year-old hostess from Waunakee, WI became the second contestant eliminated from America’s Next Top Model’s tenth season during last night’s broadcast of The CW reality series.

“This is like the worst feeling right now,” said an emotional Allison after her ouster. “I’ve never wanted anything more than this. Ever. I blew it. It’s over. I’m just going to put those pictures in my portfolio, shop for agencies, suck it up and keep going.”

“You can’t let this break you,” Tyra told an emotional Allison. “It doesn’t mean that you’re not good enough, it doesn’t mean that you’re not beautiful and it doesn’t mean that you’re not going to be a model.”

American Next Top Model’s next tenth-season episode will air Wednesday, March 12 at 8PM ET/PT.

The CW has announced America’s Next Top Model’s tenth season will premiere on Wednesday, February 20 at 8PM ET/PT.

Similar to Top Model’s Fall 2007 ninth edition, Top Model 10 will premiere with a one-hour episode that will conclude with the judges selecting the tenth season’s 13 finalists. Top Model 10’s first finalist will then be booted at the conclusion of the show’s February 27 broadcast.

Former supermodel and Dancing with the Stars fourth-season celebrity participant Paulina Porizkova will be replacing Twiggy on Top Model’s tenth-season judging panel. Twiggy had been a regular member of Top Model’s judging panel since she replaced Janice Dickinson for the show’s Fall 2005 fifth season, and “is leaving due to scheduling conflicts,” The CW announced in November.
Porizkova will join Top Model creator Tyra Banks; runway expert J. “Ms. J.” Alexander; and photographer Nigel Barker on tenth-season judging panel.

Banks’ syndicated daytime talk show The Tyra Banks Show relocated production from Los Angeles to New York last summer, meaning Top Model’s tenth season also filmed in New York for the first time since the show’s Spring 2005 fourth edition.

While Top Model 9 served as the lead-in for Gossip Girl, Top Model 10 will instead serve as a lead-in for encore Wednesday broadcasts of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, which will air new episodes in the Mondays at 9PM ET/PT time slot beginning February 18.
